With a focus on how to provide more environmentally friendly materials for moving and storage companies and other large users of packing materials, the Packaging Division of Western Pacific was founded in 2001. Born out of innovation of what was available within the Recycling Division, we thought there could be a better way to handle recovered fiber rolls than to remove the cores and recycle the paper, as it had traditionally been done by most scrap processors. With the addition of a roll-cutting machine, the sheeting process was started to provide additional value from the recovered fiber. Through cutting the paper into reusable sheets and packaging in usable sizes for a variety of industries, recovered fiber has become a valuable and important product for Western Pacific. Domestic and international buyers also purchase the leftover cores for reuse.
